2 weeks and 7 pounds

It has been exactly 2 weeks since I started. I happily got on the scale this morning because I knew in my heart that I had lost enough weight to dip me below the 200 mark. I did!!! I lost 7 lbs. in 2 weeks! I can't believe it. I know not to expect that on a regular basis, as 2 pounds a week is the norm for following Weight Watchers. I did end up going to a meeting last week just to check in and see what had changed in the past 2 years. As a lifetime member I only have to go once a month for weigh in, without paying for missed weeks, so that is my plan for now. If I start to notice myself slacking off, I will go every week or every other week.

I have been exercising with my 6 year old several times a week in addition to watching my food intake. We do a kids martial arts video together called "little kicks". It is GREAT fun. It is also so much better to be exercising with her, then hearing her say that I will break her bed.
